LTL I did in caps to your comments what you did to the press release.
I only half anuice did it because you always do things half cocked and half anuice.

1) Years ago rumors related to the much debated water wars suggested that Lake Martin might lose considerable footage. Could we now be losing that war? Are we being prepared to never reach 490 again? Does anyone know what happened when the governors of Al, Fl, and Ga met (or if they ever all met)?

Anything you hear on the 'water wars' is much more likely to be rumor than fact. (IS THIS YOUR OPINION OR DO YOU HAVE FACTS, IF SO STATE THEM AND THEIR SOURCE)I don't think(WHO CARES WHAT YOU THINK) the govs got together but appointed officials have met several times. Efforts have been made to seperate the the 3 river systems(WHAT THREE RIVER SYSTEMS?) involved into seperate cases. I don't think this is feasable. Especially the Coosa - Tallapoosa systems. As we saw this summer, the two are linked together because they merge to form the Alabama. It takes both to supply downstream flows. We will reach full pool again.(IS THIS YOUR OPINION OR DID APCO AND GOD TELL YOU THIS) Not to worry in that regards.

2) Is it possible that global warming and ongoing drought conditions may be semi-permanent and that the lake will not even reach 485 let alone remain there all winter?

It was posted (DOES POSTING IT MAKE IT SO)a while back that we have not reached 'average' rainfall in the past ten years, yet the lake has been filled 8 of those 10 years(WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR STATISTICS OUT OF YOUR ANUICE). 2000 was also a severe drought year, but we had a lot more water that year than we have this year. And don't get me started on Global Warming. It is complete hysteria. This drought cycle may continue for another year or so, but trust me, the rains will come. 1980 was the wettest year, but it was a one year anomily, like this drought. We had so much water the dam actually overflowed and washed out the bridge below. Apco wants to fill the lake as much or even more than we do. (DID THEY DISCUSS THIS WITH YOU)To most of us it is recreation ( a few depend on the lake for their income ), to APCO it is revenue. The lake has been drawn down 50 ft and filled in a year more than once.

3) If the lake was constructed for the creation of electricity (and presumeably storage for water for survival), is it wise to fight each other for who will consume it most foolishly? I have no faith that the officials at Al Power have any more sense than the rest of us who are devouring (WHAT DO YOU MEAN DEVOURING? IS SWIMMING FISHING AND BOATING DEVOURING?)this resource for recreational and financial purposes. We're all (WHO IS THIS WE? YOU ARE PRESUMPTUOUS WITH THE ALL) so angry with a small-town mayor for allowing sewage to be dumped in the lake, yet it seems most of us want it preserved so we can race our boats up and down and dump fuel and garbage in it (and teach our grandchildren to do the same).(MANY OF US DO NOT DUMP FULE AND GARGABE AND DON'T HAVE GRANDCHILDREN AND MANY WITH GRAND CHILDREN DON'T DO THESE THINGS) Is anyone thinking about the water crisis we will likely face in the near future?(WHAT FACTS TO YOU HAVE TO ESTABLISH THAT WE WILL HAVE A WATER CRISIS IN THE NEAR FUTURE?)(DID THEY COME FROM YOUR ANUICE)

Rest assured that APCO does have highly qualified experts that they pay very well to look after the best interest of the lakes and rivers of Alabama. (DID YOU CHECK THE QUALIFICATIONS) These same lakes and rivers are a main source of revenue for them.(ANOTHER FACT FROM YOUR ANUICE?) Why would they NOT look after them. And not all of us are angry at the mayor for the incidental dumping that occured. Some of us are rational, and understand the complexities of that situation, but your point is not lost in regards to pollution.
