a few deaths from this back in the mid 60's (I spent a lot of time in the water, and was scared as a child). The disease is very rare and has been around for a long time. Back then, I remember being told to stay out of muddy stagnant water, as that is where one is most likely to be effected. I don't think we have much to worry about in Lake Martin, but caution is always good.
