Yea there is ONE thing different now, we are in a drought. The worst drought in history. The lake MAY NOT make it to 490 nest year, but It will rain, and rain refills the lake. A lot of water was passed through even this year because no one had a crystal ball. Had all the rain been held back this year the lake would have filled up. It would not nave stayed full, but it could have gotten full.

My issue for week now has been that the HOBO's have shown NO CONCERN for anyone downstream. OSMS has REPEATEDLY shown nothing but contempt and disdain for those that are downstream suffering. Comment like 'they only spent 9.3 million dollars on the new, not yet opened wood pellet plant" and they have 'alternate transportation" have proven that HE cares NOTHING about the folks downstream. It is their water as much as it ours. It may affect our recreation, but it affects their JOBS. I told a story of the 1988 drought that nearly shut down the paper mill in Childersburg due to oxygenation of the water. OSMS could care less, as long as there is a way to launch boats on Martin.

Arrogance and selfishness are no way to win friends. The Gov is looking out for ALL of the 'stakeholders' of the entire river system. HOBO and OneSideMySide ONLY care about Martin and it comes through in every thing they do. That is what will have the powers that be dismiss them. Oh, they will get lip service, but that is about it. Just ask SLISA.

AC will get water if the lake is taken down to nothing but the river. Temporary accomodations WILL be made. If the lake doesn't fill up next year, it will the next. THE RAINS WILL COME.
