There are many good ski boats out there to choose from. Most important is your price range because you can get a good ski boat for around 10K or you can walk out of a showroom after spending 60K. All in what you want. Remember lake martin is rough lake and ski boats don't do real well in the "pleasure riding" area. On the good side, most ski boats are heavy which helps some with the rough wakes. Take the weight of the boat and the length of the boat into consideration when looking. Also, if buying used, make sure to check the hour meter and make sure you get it checked out before you purchase it. (see CATBOAT) If the boat does not have a hour meter, a technician can hook a meter to the motor and it has a censor or something in there verify the hours used. Don't settle for the "boat has hardly been used" line. January and February are the good times to buy. Bought both of my boats in February and got good deals.
