This morning a friend of mine was pulling my boat from my house across town to his house. While driving out of our neighborhood someone backed up out of their parking space and clipped his car and completely smashed the front end of my boat.. It is an older '85 model Dixie Craft, same thing as a mastercraft powerslot but with an open bow. Anyways has anyone had a situation similar to this one and are there certain things to watch out for when dealing with insurance companies and boats? Also I had just pulled the carpet out and interior to be linexed and re-upholstered. Therefore it looks like poop on the inside...even if I have all of the old seats and carpet that I ripped out will I have trouble with the insurance company about the condition of the boat? Any help would be appreciated as this is my first time dealing with this kind of situation with a boat or car. Thanks, Sam
