I am not sure if there is an exact formula as there are many variables but I did state that several inches of rain CAN convert to a couple of feet of lake level. One factor is over what time frame the rain falls. Short bursts of hard showers may raise it more than several hours light rain, even if the total rainfall is the same. The reason is the amount of runoff. Hard rains tend to cause more runoff than light showers, and runoff has the greatest effect on the lake level. And of course it depends on how mcuh is held back and not passed thru for generation. I think at this point most if not all is being held back however.

There are property damage considerations if the lake is raised to fast too. I strongly recomend that everyone take precautions for a rapid rise this winter/spring.
