Very interesting to look at this recently released map I found at the climate prediction center.... showing that Lake Martin and the immediate area to our north, not even as far as to the GA border..... is in need of 12-15 inches of rain to end the drought. It's the smallest, but most severe drought area of the country. Surrounding us to the north and East is a larger area that will only require 9-12 inches of rain to correct the problem. On a hopeful note, the National Weather service is predicting some easing of drought conditions in the next 3 months....

Best news I have read on the subject for a while..... A hurricane would be a mixed blessing this year....
