Just add a bunch of batteries, and replace your trim tabs with paddle wheels, have a belt drive to an alternator, a solenoid to drop the paddlewheels into the water when you back off the throttle. Problem solved. I also have a suggestion to help make Al Gore's plane more uh... global friendly - it is far more simple - get to 35,000', kill the turbines and pop out the mast and sails. That would make it a sailplane right? :-)
