..... sincerest form of flattery. So I didn't say anything a while back when I discovered that someone had put a flag up on the other little island at the mouth of Madwind and Mannoy. I was proud to see her flying and glad that whoever put it up didn't try to take over 'my' island.

Well, the stars alingned yesterday and we went out for the annual flag raising. After removing the shreds of last years flag and putting up a new one for this year I noticed the other flag was missing. We rode over and discovered it wasn't missing but was down already. It was still attached to the pole, but the pole had fallen. I put the pole back up using the zip ties that I had bought to hang mine, so it is back up temporarilly. If you are reading this you may want to revisit the island with a short ladder and effect some better method of attachment.

We also got in a half hour or so of eagle watching. As usual, it was magnificent. We only saw one two other boats the entire time we were out. What a great day it was.

I am so glad I don't live on the lake and therefor have no judgement to the lake. <sarcasm OFF>
