Maybe I have it all wrong, but I thought a prime reason to ban was the sewage associated with those boats. Irresponisble people dumping sewage into the lake and not using a pump service.
Far as home values goes, if for any reason Lake Martin becomes "dirty", we would all suffer depressed prices. I'd say anybody living here has a vested interest in this issue.
