"If the homeowner doesn't like waves from boats hitting his pier I look at it like this: If you don't like the sound of 18-wheelers driving by, don't build your house next to an interstate. Don't build next to an interstate and then try to get a 4-mph speed limit for trucks."

This was one of the dumbest analogies in the whole article. Like so many on the lake, this attitude like so many demonstrated on Lake Martin and this board completely ignores the responsibility of boaters w/r/t their wake. Not to mention the fact that the genius blasting in and out of my slough are usually 20-30' from my pier and kids, regardless of the probably 250'+ width of the slough. Yeah, it's so they can turn around on plane and beat the crap out of both sides of the area, which just further illustrates what fools they are.

Mike Bolton appears to be a narrow-minded math impaired nut in this article. I did like how he switched back and forth between feet and yards, just to confuse things. Perhaps he should stay in his tree stand and out of the paper. And hopefully off the water.
