What was the original prop in inches of pitch. (that is what the 21, 19 etc. means). A 21 pitch prop travels 21 inches through the water (minus a little slip of say 10-15%) When/if you went up on pitch from what you had before you probably lost a lot of "hole shot", as well as wide open throttle engine rpms. Anyway, I guess the definition of performance needs to be addressed first. Do you mean all around performance, or simply top speed performance. If you want "all around performance" I probably would opt for a 4-Blade 20", or maybe a 4-Blade 18". The four blade props get you up and going much faster, but you may sacrifice a little top end>>>>>key word here is maybe. You also did not mention your wide open engine rpms. On your 5.0 V-8 you need to keep it around 4800 or close to it. You are welcome to call me, and I will share any information I have with you. I will also look around and see what I have in the way of props you might want to try. I know there are several here in the 28"-35" range, but I will locate you something you can try, before you start putting $$$$$ out there for something that may not work for you.
