check and see if there is a lot of crap growing on you pontoons. if there is it can cause the boat to loose half of its speed. Might also keep the motor from running at full rpm's if it was propped correctly to start with.

if the pontoons are clean, and you halfass know what you are doing, you can check and see if the throttle is pushing the mechanism to the stops. if not there is an adjustment that will permit you to make it do this.

on the otherhand, you could have electrical problems and not be firing on all cylinders,

OR A BAD CARB. IF THIS IS THE CASE AND YOU CONTINUE TO RUN, AND YOUR OUTBOARD IS A TWO STROKE, YOU COULD WRECK THE POWER HEAD.

IF YOU ARE CLUELESS YOU SHOULD TAKE IT TO CAT BEFORE YOU DO SERIOUS DAMAGE
