Every election we return over 95% of the incumbents and we expect something to change? These guys are staying in office too long. The benefits and power are so great they will do anything to get re-elected. This won't change until we change the way we vote. Can you tell the difference between a Republican and Democrat anymore? I can't.

Lawyers are particularly good at this. In school they are trained to represent their clients faithfully and this unfortunately has become distorted to mean the constituents that represent them to the exclusion of the welfare of the country. That's how "Roads to Nowhere" get built. The majority of our elected congress are lawyers.

The founding fathers considered elected office more as a volunteered service to the country not some highly paid career
