Note to Islander: I have a GW Gulfstream and I am thinking about the 305. My question regarding length was not directed to your 300. I have not even seen your boat but now I want to ride on it. They are great boats and I am thinking about trading up. And I move mine around too. Just like you.
And for those who posted regarding my question that had nothing to do with my question, I really don't think you get it yet. The law says speed doesn't matter because I can go as fast as I can if my boat is 26'11" in length or less, and big boats exceeding 30'6" are going to be around a really long time since they are grandfathered. I just can't buy a new one. It doesn't really address what I think the intent of this law was, and that is to remove the loud, fast, long cigarette type boats like Fountain, Baha, Formular, etc, etc. Oh, lets throw in the house boats too. The other intent of the law was to attract a nice development like Reynolds Plantation at one of the other two lakes in the 3 lakes affected by the law. And lastly, thank you Maverick for answering my question. I appreciate that. And look out you little boats, the big guys are going to be around for a really long time... like it or not.
