I think time will tell with Ms. Palin. Her inclusion on the McCain ticket does not make me more likely to vote for McCain. I believe he really wanted to pick Lieberman, but the party knew that would be political suicide. So I think they went with her to try to grab white women who were upset that Hilary didn't get the Dem nomination. Her lifetime NRA membership would appease those worried about gun control, and her right-to-life stance would appease the religious right wing conservatives, who don't think McCain is conservative enough for them. Additionally, her non-manangement husband would likely appeal to the blue collar population. I watch political analysts while I have my morning coffee and many of them seemed to agree with this assessment of the McCain choice.

Her changing colleges doesn't bother me -- it's all well in her past and she's a mature woman. I am interested in hearing how she handles herself in the debates. It's one thing to give a speech in a well-chosen audience of people that are already inclined to agree with her views; however, it's quite another to respond to questions and explain your views.

Both sides are so busy touting "change" but I would really like to know more about the specifics of change. And I have to say in the initial Dem debates, I thought that Joe Biden was the best spoken.

McCain's age and well known temper bother me; and Palin's inexperience bother me, should she have to assume the Presidency.
