Sorry to disappoint. I normally try to keep an open mind, but there is no way, no how I would vote for John McCain. I cannot agree with his views on Iraq.
I'll take my chances with Obama before I'd vote for John McCain. I've never liked him. I'm not saying that I think Obama is the best the the democrats could have come up with. It's pitiful that we are left with the choice between Obama and McCain.
I don't think McCain had anything to do with the new proposal. Actually I think Shelby is taking an active role. McCain just had to hurry to Washington so no one would think he was shirking his Congressional duty.
