Terry, you have a very valid point! I think many repair facilities don't earn the trust and confidence from it's customers and therefore don't build a solid customer base. With that being said, those same customers seek help and advice outside of their immediate area. And many find comfortable relationships with business' elsewhere. Most people Do business where they LIKE to do business. That I am thankful for. I don't see many, if any at all local Lake Martin repair facilities posting to this Lake Martin Forum on a consistant basis. One would think a local shop owner would be VERY accessable here, offer good sound advice and honest opinions to the forum members on a consistant basis. Instead, Many shops make an occassional post asking for business in a "Hey don't forget about me" way. Or, a "Hey, I'm not gonna put much effort in earning your bussiness but spend your money with me anyway". And last but not least.... If a business is going to ask for business and use this site as a tool, I would think that business should advertise with and support this local site just as you ask people to support Lake business. Take "John C" for a great example! He offers great information about Lake Martin real estate on the forum, and advertises on this site as well. If I ever purchase lake property, I would surely call him first. Oh yea, to me he is not local! Get the picture? And I am not the one that flamed your post. I am not in the PWC business and don't work on that many.
