What are you getting so fired up about? I'm talking about clothes, not the election. THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL THREAD - or at least I didn't intend for it to be.

And this was a legimate story in the NY Times today about "tensions" within the party and this was an item that was mentioned. Apparently people in the McCain camp were ticked off to find out how much money was spent because they "gave" her camp a budget of $25 - 30 K. You likely don't shop, but it's amusing to me that they would think that would buy enough clothes to go through the campaign with. And that kind of money doesn't go very far in Saks or NM. I don't think Sarah probably picked the stores. I'm sure that a personal shopper or stylist picked clothes for her. She likely didn't even know how much they cost. I'm sure someone else on her campaign staff wrote the check.

If you read what I posted to AUCATZ, you would know that I found it amuxing that they said that they were considering sending auditors up to inventory the clothes and shoes. As a WOMAN, I find this notion very amusing to think that a bunch of green eyeshaders would be pawing through her closet.

I don't agree with Palin's politics, but I thought she looked good. I thought Cindy McCain looked good. I am a WOMAN and I notice clothes. I really don't care what either of them or Michelle Obama or her husband spend on their clothes. I thought Obama's clothes looked good on him and if he can afford to spend $5K per suit, well why shouldn't he?

For heavens sake, get over it. The election is OVER. McCain is back in AZ, Sarah's back in Alaska and Obama's likely in Washington putting together his transition team. I'm sorry your candidate didn't win and you feel so touchy about it. But in another 4 years, there will be another election.
