I agree with you on that. We don't know what we don't know. We don't get to read the intelligence and make up our own minds. It will probably be another 10 years before someone writes a truly objective book about Iraq or even the Bush presidency.
Everything I have read about Bush and Iraq is that Bush is a true believer. And when you are a true believer you don't care about polls or popularity. I also think he was painted a bad picture that we would be seen as the "redeemers" and that they would shower us with flowers.

I'm sure that some anti-war people will not be happy with the plus up in Afghanistan. I for one, have always thought that we should be fighting there, so I'll be happy with the plus up. We need to take the fight to them.
My next hope is that they will plus up the VA to help with all those disabled veterans. I was watching Morning Joe yesterday and Wesley Clark was on there, obstensively to talk about the veterans, but he spent more time talking about himself and what he knows about the economy. Guess he's still got Presidential aspirations too.
