A reorganizational meeting for the Big Eau Pleine Concerned Owners (BEPCO) was conducted on Sunday, November 9, 2008. Those in attendance included property owners, business owners, recreational users, and other concerned parties. The first order of business was to elect interim officers and board members so organizational work could begin on the reactivation of the BEPCO organization. BEPCO is reorganizing to partner with the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), the Wisconsin Valley Improvement Company (WVIC),
Marathon County and Federal Energy Regulation Commission (FERC) to address the serious
issues of how the extremely low water levels impact:

• The quality of life on the Big Eau Pleine • Recreational use, summer, winter, spring & fall
• Water/shoreline health/safety issues • Economic impact to surrounding businesses
• The sustainability of fish and wild life and communities.
• Property values
A $25.00 annual membership dues was agreed upon for individuals and/or property owners
and $40.00 for businesses. Any other donations will also be greatly appreciated. If you missed

The next meeting will take place at 10:00 am. on Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Hotchkiss's Last Cast.
