I don't think you are crazy at all. My dogs are members of my family and I understand that losing Millie is like losing a member of your family.

My husband and I continue to keep our eyes open everywhere we go around the lake. I've even asked my two cat communities to turn their positive thoughts to you getting Millie back home. (I realize this sounds a bit "new age-y, but it's a non-dominational kind of prayer)
