Now MM, how can you continue to say that Obama is a classic liberal when he has appointed a centerist cabinet. He isn't Jimmy Carter. He isn't Bill Clinton. it remains to be seen how he will get along with Pelosi and Reid. I know you didn't vote for him, and don't like him, but you could still give him a break until he gets into office and has his first 100 days. I think you are going to be surprised. I think he will listen to opposition opinions.
And maybe his "inexperience" will be a benefit -- maybe he'll listen rather than thinking he knows it all.

I saw an interview with Dick Cheney Bob Scheiffer yesterday (Face the Nation?) and Dick Cheney still scares the heck out of me. And he's been kicking around Washington forever. The man can't even make eye contact with the interviewer or the camera. I think he could have had a career as a Mafia Don.
He can't admit to anything having not gone according to plan. To me, that is very scary. He can't admit to "lesson's learned" which is a Washington staple. And he claims he might write a book, but it also sounded to me like he is not ready to leave Washington. If his heart doesn't kill him, he'll resurface.
