If I were willing to miss work to join a bunch of people whose heads are in the stars (think oxygen deprivation), to listen to yet another speech that amounts to pandering; I would have gone as well. The hearts of the electorate were won by listening to “I will build a house with brick walls and green metal roofing” rather than “in order to build a house we must find a property, prepare the site, dig the foundation, etc..” People were swayed by a goal, not a plan. This is why I missed the indoctrination….. I mean inauguration.
