piling on again with real world facts against emotion based good intentions that democrats put lots of faith in. D's are ok with efforts of good intentions and , of course they are doing it for the children. I lived and worked in a country for about 6 years with the British gun law (as described above) as the standard, and made the observation that homicides took place regardless whether it was with an illegal gun, a butcher knife, ax, iron pipe or shovel. Coming from an existence of personally owning several guns, I was very concerned about the safety of my wife.......although a bad looking Boxer dog that was confused with the pit bull breed, fenced inside a 6 foot high compound was helpful! On a personal level, I hope this effort is put forth, 'cause I think this type of looney legislation brought forth during times when people are worried about more critical issues will be just the spark needed to arouse the common sense folks out of their stupor for the 2010 cycle.
