We had a number of line storms last year that dumped a lot of rain in a short time. I seem to recall several Fridays in a row doing so. Last year, the Alex City airport rain gauge did not show much for Feb (~2.5") yet other gauges in our watershed showed as much as 8".
The soakings we've gotten this year have been good for our soil moisture and water tables. Thankful for that.
