I had the opportunity to visit the Chucks, Stillwaters, Blue Creek area on Sunday. I was very suprised at the damage from the hail storm. I know there are lots of post below about this, but I had NO idea of the damage being that bad. I was amazed at how the shoreline/trees looked from way out in the water. It really looks like Winter in an erie sort of way. Most of the green vegatation/leaves in the trees, etc. is litterally stripped from the landscape. I assume the hail just knocked it all out. A mile around the corner looks like a normal spring and pretty green tree canopies. WOW. I wish I had taken my camara. I hate that happened to everyone in that area.
