Subject:   Battery question
Date:   4/22/2009 2:23:03 PM

I went to Harbor Freight yesterday and bought a battery float charger for $3.99 with coupon. This "charger" consists of an AC Adapter (15volt transformer) connected to a battery float charger (about 2"x2"x1") which is connected to the battery clips. The instructions state: intended for the maintenance of flooded (wet) or lead acid (gel-cell) battery. It also states it is for storing fully charged batteries over long periods (the box reads "Store your battery forever") My question is, does anybody have any experience with something like this? It seams too cheap and simple to be true.
