Someone sent me a link to a YouTube piece by a conservative about how we should be taking to the streets in protest since our elected officials no longer listen to us. We should have mass demonstrations (such as the "tea parties") to let our officials know we're not going to stand for it.

That got me thinking about the 60-early 70s, when people took to the street and had demonstrations protesting the Viet Nam war because the government wasn't listening to the people. I was a teenager then, but I remember the reaction of the older, conservative population (that would have been my parents and the parents of my friends).

So now older, Conservatives want us to take to the streets in protest...
