What steps should we take to control healthcare costs?
- We can limit “unnecessary tests” as is proposed by our President.
- We can limit provider compensation - also proposed by our President.
- We can limit diagnostic tests/labs such as MRI’s – see Canada
- We can cap malpractice awards (and insurance costs for providers) although our President says this would not be “fair” to patients.
- We can limit treatment of those who are too old or too sick – see Europe and Canada.

We have the best overall healthcare system in the world right now, but give us time.
