It was announced this morning that the "cash for klunkers" program has been suspended because in just a week the program has led to the purchase of 250000 cars from our neighbors who are in the auto sales business.

As for healthcare in Canada I can't say rate it because I'm not from Canada and have not experienced it. Have you WW? I do know a little about the workings of that system. I have a client and his wife who are both citizens of Canada. They moved to Atlanta about 10 or 12 years ago. They spent the first 30+ years of their existance on the Canada plan and the last decade dealing with our system. They both say that given a choice even with its problems they would opt for the Canadian system over ours. They have educated me somewhat to the Canada system. It is single payer as in UK but not socialized as in the UK. That is each Province (they are kinda like states WW), not the federal gov't negotiates with private providers for base plans paid by taxes. Each individual can purchase supplemental coverage above and beyond the single payer base plan if they desire. Most do because these plans are reasonably inexpensive since the critical care stuff is covered by the provincial plans. They also debunk the claims of people coming to the US for care unavailble in a timly manner in Canada. If you have a serious or lift threatening situation in Canada it is taken care of as quickly or quicker than in the US. As Ive stated before, just because Mitch McConnell or Rush Limbaugh or some right wing blogger or You Tube performer says it does not make it a so.
