Why don't you admit that you didn't leave DC on your own accord -- that you were reassigned by the AF? You try to make it sound like you did this of your own accord.
Did you ever stop and wonder why the Military Services rotate their promising officers through DC? Perhaps so they could learn how the government operates?

I don't apologize for the government. It operated just as stupidly under Clinton as it did under Bush. Just as stupidly under Reagan as it did under Carter, thanks to the policies set forth by any given Administration. I'm not blind to the government, but I also understand how well it functions despite the politics.
