I guess I don't understand about how they determine when Lanier can and cannot be full. I recall a stretch of time several years ago when the lake was above full pool for months. They didn't seem to be worried about it or they would have corrected it.

So does this mean that full pool is not the optimum level anymore, except perhaps for only short spans of time?

We have no choice but to move our dock back to proper position. Hasn't been there in a couple years. But even as we move it I feel in my gut they will drop the level as soon as they can. But I have to wonder how they can even consider opening the gates with West Point in danger.
