Just looked at APCO website they have 4 gates open 24 hours for next 3 or so days. If I am not mistaken the lake is dropping about a foot a day.

So looks like we will get down to 480 this year unless we get a lot of rain. Time for some shoreline work and clean up.

That's good...I've got beaded styrofaom to replace. Not sure why it's such an environmental hazard...ducks, geese and muskrats have thrived around my pier, float and boathouse for 21 years.

Hopefully they are getting some good juice from it so out power bills won't go up again.

"our" not "out". Sorry, my fingers must have been affected by watching so much football this weekend.

They are trying to get it down before Jan. 6th. At that time they want to drop Thurlow 10 feet to handle a weed problem. To do that they won't be able to generate from Martin for a period of time.

The treatment for that weed problem sounds like a normal winter drawdown for Lake Martin. I will take low winter levels if it means everything is not choked with Milfoil and Hydrilla every summer.
