Does anyone know if it is within the law to tow a jetski behind your boat at night?

Last year I tied our waverunner up to the side of our pontoon for the after dark trip home. I checked with the marine police at the event before doing so, and they said it was OK.

You should check with your mechanic.  Some PWC's can sustain motor damage from tow jobs unless a special valve is installed.

This is true.  It is a clamp (it can be any sort of clamp) that goes over the exhaust hose so water will not back into the engine.  You can get by without the clamp as I have but you really can go much over idle.  And I only pulled my 06 Sea-Doo about a 1/2 mile.
