Republican Idaho U.S. Sen. Michael Crapo was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with driving under the influence in a Washington, D.C., suburb, authorities said. Currently in his third term, Crapo has been in the Senate since 1998, and served for six years in the U.S. House of Representatives before that. He was easily re-elected in 2010, and won't have to run again until 2016. In Congress, Crapo has built a reputation as a staunch social and fiscal conservative. A Mormon from Idaho Falls, Idaho, Crapo has five children with his wife, Susan, and three grandchildren.

Getting arrested for DUI, having an affair with an intern, cheating on your taxes, throwing your medals over the fence at the WH, snorting cocaine, embezzling campaign funds......all resume enhancers.

The real credit for being a democRAT goes to Teddy. I still don't see how people thought he could help run a country when he couldn't drive a lady of the evening across a bridge.

You make everything a political conspiracy. The important fact is not that he is a Republican...we can forgive him for that. Rather, he is a Morman and should not be drinking alcohol. Wonder if he will enter rehab .ie a trip to Hawaii.
If Kerry gets post, Barney may be appointed Senator until the Special Election in MA with the understanding he cannot run for the office.

Fish, Although the pay isn't half bad, and the perks of office are rumored to be unlike any others, I don't live in Massachusetts and am therefore ineligible for that appointment. Merry Christmas to all, and best wishes for a great 2013.
