We have a ton of flies out on our deck which isn't too far from the water. Anyone have any suggestions on controlling fly problems at the lake? There is nothing around that seems to be attracting them. (Heck I even shower daily so no it aint me.) :)

For a start, you could put up some fly strips. We have one of those soundless bug zappers, and haven't experienced much problem with any flies or gnats or flying bugs.

Try this.....take a quart canning jar and fill it about a quarter full with pancake syrup and chop up a hotdog into small pieces and add to the syrup. Then take the lid and make several holes slightly bigger than a fly and put the lid on the jar. Sit the jar away from where the chairs are located and watch what happens. Let me know how it works.
