You literally can't make this up.  In a prior post I mentioned the issue with the number of CT thresholds in the PCR test resulting in false positives.  Interestingly, CDC changed the number of CT thresholds they would accept from over 35 to less than 28 in April 2021 as recommended by the studies of the test.  I suggest you look at the numbers and you will see a big drop in positive cases since then.

I predicted they would quietly change the protocol for the PCR test and it would result in fewer positive cases and that's exactly what happened.  Now the conspiracy theorists are claiming this was done to make the vaccines look effective.  I doubt that is the case and they belatedly did the right thing with a faulty test.  Interestingly, there have likewise been claims that had they used the lower CT threshold from the outset the ChiCom virus would likely not have been classified a pandemic.

I keep telling you not to doubt me about the Wuhan Chinese ChiCom virus.  I was right about masks, right about the testing, right about schools, right about the incoherent Fauci, right about the actual number of cases, right about the actual number of deaths, etc., etc., etc.  I was wrong about social distancing and personal hygiene.  Oh and on the vaccines, my wife got hers last week and has been sick as a dog ever since.  And she never gets sick.  No colds, no flu, nothing.  She is dreading the second shot.  Had the Pfizer version because there seems to be less adverse reactions.  She was not so lucky.

MM, how's your wife doing? Tell her the Left says it's worth it. Cheers....

After a week she's starting to feel better.  She almost never gets sick so this really bothered her.  She is debating the second shot as most of the really bad stories came from the second one.  And then there are tons of people, including my Mom, who all they got was a sore arm.  It's a true crap shoot and while the numbers of significant adverse reactions are a lot higher than the ordinary flu shot, for those at risk it is in my opinion well worth it to get vaccinated.  For those that are not likely to get seriously ill or worse from the virus it is a different calculation.  As for me, I suspect I will have to get it for work.  Otherwise I am pretty sure I had the virus in 2019 and still have antibodies.  Either way, if I have to do it for work then I'll get it.  Otherwise I will probably wait until the next flu season and see if we have any more results from the world's largest vaccine study.

See your doc and have them test for antibodies.  Simple blood draw and you have the results in less than 30 minutes.  There is comfort in knowing for sure.  Your doc may suggest you get the shots anyway for extra protection.

I have my annual comprehensive physical in a couple of weeks and I am expecting a lecture from him about getting vaccinated.  He tries to get me to do the flu and shingles every year and I procrastinate about those as well.  I suppose now that I'm over 60 I need to be more diligent.  My wife's (who is one of the healthiest people I know and never gets sick) experience was not helpful.  I will ask him if they can do an antibody test during my physical.  If I do have the antibodies I am probably gonna pull a Rand Paul as long as I can.

My wife and I both received the shingles vaccine. The most current one is Shingix which is 2 shots. They are expensive as they were not covered by insurance. $155 per shot x 4=$620  3 months apart...used Walgreens.

Encourage your wife to get the 2nd shot.....

My second antibody test was during my physical.  They stick you anyway so seems a no-brainer.

I'm pretty sure she is going to get it.  She talked to a few people that had a reaction to the first and not the second...other than the sore arm.
