CPI up 7%...highest since 1982 and real average hourly earnings are down for the 9th month in a row.  And the CPI is just the tip of the iceberg on actual inflation.  Housing up 4.13% and goods at over 10%.  Energy costs were flat last month but that's of little comfort given the rise in energy costs in the last 10 months and that flat spot is expected to rise again in January.  So when you combine inflation and lower earnings you're looking at a significant hit to the financial well being of Americans...particularly middle class, lower middle class and the working and non-working poor.  This is what Bidenomics gives you which is a redux of Jimmy Carter's failed economic policies.

Meanwhile Democrats fixate on January 6th as a worthless attempt to distract from the abject failure of their ideology.  No one cares about January 6th and no one with half a brain believes an unarmed riot that inconvenienced some members of Congress falls even remotely into the category of an insurrection.  And most people are beginning to believe based on the evidence that the FBI likely had informants there to incite the crowds like they did to those idiots in Michigan.  Look up Ray Epps and ask yourself why he hasn't been arrested.

You live on Right Wing conspiracy theories that are not based on facts. Epps is someone you should be proud of.

"Ray Epps is a retired Marine with connections to a far-right anti-government militia group who traveled to Washington, D.C., to attend the “Stop the Steal” rally in support of Trump’s false claim that the 2020 election had been stolen. While in D.C., Epps was filmed telling other Trump supporters to go “into” the U.S. Capitol “peacefully.” In another video, Epps is seen de-escalating a fight between police and protesters.

There’s no evidence to indicate that Epps went into the Capitol himself or that he committed other criminal offenses. As of this writing, Epps has not been charged with any crimes related to the Jan. 6 attack."

And why is that?  You are sitting here defending a guy who did far more to incite people to enter the Capitol than Donald Trump ever did. Trump never said to go inside the Capitol like Epps did although he did use the exact same term, "peaceful", which you now are using to exonerate Ray Epps.  So standing outside the Capitol inciting people to breach it is AOK but telling people to peacefully march to the Capitol to express their opinions is inciting an insurrection.  Self owned once again.

But I've seen the videos of this guy and he was inciting a riot.  He was telling people to illegally enter the Capital right before the breach occurred.  He was there and directly inciting a breach and the fact that he may or may not have gone inside himself is immaterial.  Although not surprisingly you don't apply that same standard to Trump because, well, you suffer from TDS.  And I would point out that the FBI refused to say whether they had agents there and whether Ray Epps was an asset of the FBI.  We saw what happened in Michigan with the stupid Whitmer kidnapping scheme that is falling apart because it now appears that it was planned by agents and informants of the FBI who duped some idiots into coming along.

Joe doesn't want to talk about the economy - he's more worried about getting blacks signed up to vote - except some of them are turning their backs, because he hasn't delivered the goods on all those freebies he promised.

Wait until people start screaming when they raise the interest rates.  Yes, he is destroying the country.

As well as the Capitol Riot, it's his only hope to keep it on the front burner, because come November, he isn't going to have the rubber stamp brigade in Congress.

And sending all those testing kits out in the mail to people, will only serve to clog the USPS, which is already overburdened.  I often wonder if this administration ever really looks at the big picture.

Also so video of him removing signs and moving barricades to make it easier for people to get right up to the doors, but has been cleared of all wrong doing and given a pass by the Jan 6 committee.

Hopefully Covid backs off before the election.  Voter ID is "bad", but in DC you have to have photo IDs and Covid papers to leave your house now.  Demonrats love ID/papers for anything BUT voting.

I think the problem with this administration is multi-faceted.  First, they have at the head a man that showed extremely poor judgement for decades when he had all his faculties.  Now he is a mind-numbed figurehead.  Second, their VP polls even worse than the President and lacks the work ethic or political skills to overcome her lack of intellect.  Third, the wizards behind the curtain (Ron Klain, Susan Rice, et al) are totally incompetent and so ideologically blind that they do not care the damage inflicted on the country.  Combine that with the House being led by Nancy "Eyebrows" Pelosi and Chuckie Schumer....who you do not want to get in the way of him and a camera and we have the nightmare return to the failed policies of Jimmy Carter.  The only thing that saved Obama was the color of his skin and the GOP taking over the rest of government mid-way through his first term.  His only signature accomplishment.....if you want to call it that....is Obamacare which pretty much destroyed our health insurance system.  Unless of course you like insurance that has such high deductibles it barely qualifies for catastrophic coverage.

I found it intersting that the woman leading the negotiations with the Russians is 72.  And then I read today that she was in on those negotiations with Iran under Obama.  The Russians are laughing.  Even they know stupid when they see it.

You got a bargain.  The gallon I bought at New Look in Montgomery cost over $70 after tax.  We are "long in the tooth" so maybe a Home Depot paint that doesn't cost as much or last as long will be just fine...

The price of everything - even mundane things like paint - are singificantly higher.  At one point, there was a paint shortage. I read on another forum that gutter materials have had 3 price increases, so if you get a quote today, the cost may go up next week.   I feel sorry for anyone trying to build a house right now.

Yes!  It's not just food prices and gas prices!

I had a discussion with someone on another forum, complaining that "greedy" landlords are jacking up rents beyond "affordable".  One of the things I pointed out is tha maintenance costs are going up.  I think after the "eviction moritoriuum"   a lot of landlords re-evaluated their risk and raised rents accordingly.
