Part of me wonders if he isn't creating another crisis that he will solve and be a hero.  Otherwise, why wouldn't you wait for Putin to make an actual move?

In another forum, someone suggested that it is all about him protecting his and Hunter's investments and cash flow.  I think back to the neo-cons cherry picking intel to feed to Bush to invade Iraq.  

I guess I don't trust any politicans anymore.

I don't agree with you about your "Swamp bureaucrats".  There are millions of people who go to work every day and keep the government running despite the politics, politicians and political appointees.  they are the people that are supporting the troops, keeping them supplied, answering questions at the IRS and social security and various other agencies.  Yes, there are people in the system that you hear about that do wrong, but they are not the vast majority.  There are poeple at the NSC that are working hard on difficult international issues.  the worst are the political appointees who get placed for political loyaty.  They have no idea what they are doing, and once they do, they generally leave to make more money.  They are the worst.  Most of them don't have a clue, but they try to impact a system and polcies of which they have minimal understanding.  

You are entitled to your opinion but I suspect that your experience is quite limited - dealing with low grade clerks and watching those that screw up, publicly.  But they are the rarity.

My bad.  I forgot I am not privy to the goings on.   But what Lois Lerner, and Peter Strok, and Comey, and Clapper, and Brennan I believe did to undermine and try to entrap those they disagreed with, my distrust will remain.  There can be as many good minions carrying on the daily work but there (in my opinion) is a clandestine group of "swamp beauracrats" that will never (in my opinion) see the accountabilty and justice that is due them.

Other than Lois Lerner, all the people you named were political appointees.  I believe that Comey spent some time back in the day as an analyst, but he was politically appointed.  Political Appointees loyalties lie with the person that appointed them and are selected for those jobs as payback.  They move in and out of government depending on who is in power.
