According to Trump, there are now 2 classes of illegals.....Good Illegals and Bad Illegals.

President Donald Trump discusses his solution to allowing law-abiding, working illegal immigrants to remain in U.S. and pay taxes on Fox Newws 'Sunday Morning Futures.' 

Will the good illegals qualify for Medicaid? Or, will there be special Illegal Migrant Farmworker Medical Insurance? The jobs must  really suck if they can't find enough Legal Migrants to work. Sounds like back to the days of slavery....you work your a+s off or get deported.

Goofy, this is nothing new and I already addressed it in an earlier thread.  There have always been visa programs for guest workers in agriculture and elsewhere (H-1B and H-2B).  Niether are legally eligible for Medicaid or other federal benefits.  They come here legally to work, they have to be paid at least minimum wage, unless the prevailing wage is higher in which case they are supposed to be paid market wages.  That's why unscrupulous employers love them some illegals....so they don't have to pay a fair wage.

As for whether they are being screwed, that's pretty much up to them to decide.  Apparently the wages they are paid in the U.S. are high enough for them to come here in droves so it must be better than what they can make in their home country.  Heck, the illegals getting paid below market wages come here by the millions.....although many of them are here to take advantage of state and federal benefits that they should not be getting because states like CA let them take advantage of the American taxpayer......no more.

I thought Trump's mandate is to deport ALL illegals. Why are illegals  working on farms any different from illegals working in construction?

It has nothing to do with legal workers on the special worker's Visa program. Stick to the subject of illegals.

If you are here on a temporary work visa you are not an illegal.  This is really basic stuff and amazing that even you don't get it. 

Conservatives don't oppose immigration, we oppose people illegally entering the country and think every single one of them is a criminal because they violated Federal law and should be deported.  If they want to come back legally to work in agriculture or elsewhere there is a program for that and all Trump is proposing is to expand it.  But what they really want is to come here illegally, pay no taxes, take federal benefits and send yankee dollars back home.

If they come here under existing or new programs they will pay taxes, get paid at least minimum wage and likely better and when the season is over for agricultural workers they go home.  If they don't and are caught they will be deported and banned.

Trump is  not  proposing a plan where they are deported and reapply to reenter.  Rather, illegals are allowed to remain as farm workers and hotel  workers. Construction and day laborer need to start packing. I wish either he had the capacity or hired  qualified staff who could think outside the box and see the ramifications of their actions. Rather,  it seems  everything is topline.....increase the  deportations to 3,000 per day. Hmmm....there  a  bunch  of em on farms and in hotels......

Nuff said about that.  There has been no specific proposal or regulations developed so they are literally guessing what the final product will be based on scant information and you wasted our time regurgitating the nBS BS. 

But what I said is what will happen, a modification of the current H-2A visa program for agriculture and hospitality workers.  Hence, they will no longer be here illegally, we will know who they are, where they are and what they are doing and they will pay taxes and they will not be eligible for programs like Medicaid, except in states that want to pay for it themselves because when the OBBB is the law of the land they will no longer be able to pass those costs onto the U.S. taxpayer.  

Goofy, education does not occur when you pass on information from totally unreliable sources.  If you don't seek out the news you are uninformed, but if you do and rely on the mainstream media you are misinformed (hat tip to Mark Twain).
