...just thought I would post a link to today's article in the Opelika paper about the two tragic deaths by fire in Opelika......anyone who has ever considered using gasoline to start a brush fire should read this. This was a horrible accident and my heart and prayers go out to the families involved.

Yep...have seen several folks try to start a fire with gas...and then the hurry up scramble to get out of the way when it ignites...just common sense...we use either diesel or char liter with paper...much safer...and not unless it has rained recently and no wind...
Folks next door did some with gas about 4PM and I guess it burned all nite...the guy who lit it wasnt there later when I went by to check..
its still smoldering this morning..

i use a little bernz-o-matic to light our burn pit ...much safer than gasoline...had to many close calls in the past
