Does anyone have experience with the Motorola V3 Razr cell phone. It's time to replace (twice in the lake did it in) and I've always had Nokia phones and am not sure about the Motorola.

yes, easy to use...easy set up... fits nicely in pocket. one thing i really like is the speaker phone option. it's nice not having to hold it to your ear to talk, and the other person hears you just like it were near your mouth. good reception and signal.... (Cingular)

It is a little known fact that cell phones are highly attracted to water. If you take one around water very much, eventually they can't just can't resist the temptation to dive right in.....lol...

I average loosing one per year to this little known phenominum.

When did they start putting pockets in d@mn swim suits?

Osms - I just recently got that phone and have been pretty pleased so far. Very small and light. Only concern I had was the reports of very low earpiece volume, but that doesn't seem to be a problem.

BTW - that is a Bluetooth enabled phone as well.

Thanks for the info -- The Bluetooth capability is one of the things I'm looking for. Does it have a loud ringer volume?

I have had a Razr for close to a year and have had little problems with it. I bought an aftermarket battery for a backup and it made the phone act "squirrely". Took it back and bought a Motorola battery and all has been well.

I like the size...fits in the pocket vs. clip on. I orginally was concerned how well it would hold up to abuse (e.g. drops, in pocket with keys, etc.), but have been very satisfied.

The ringer volume has a very broad range, along with a variety of distinctive ringtones included for free from the old-timey phone ring to some funky stuff that goes on and on that I'm sure my daughter would like but my clients would likely question......

It's worth a trip to run by a store and play with one - very intuative. If you're on Verizon, you may also be able to get a slightly better deal ordering online instead of in a store. Still shows up practically ready to go, just have to take your old one by a store for them to copy your contacts over.

Thanks for all the responses--the real question is--Will it float???

Remember... the more expensive the phone, the higher the attraction to water.....lol

..... last night I saw a "stays in Vegas" commercial featuring a razor phone following it's owner into the pool. Cute commercial on its own, but really made me chuckle considering this thread.

And BTW--- apparently they don't float!!!!!!

... getting really old. The commercial has 3-4 hot chicks in bathings suits laying by the pool, and I am noticing the phone....:<-)
