It is bad enough that there has been one death and a couple of crippling injuries at the Rocks this year but to see that people continue to congregate there and children are still jumping is just about enough to ensure that there will be another death there this year. If that was not enough the people swimming in this area are next in line to be the next death. As you try to weave through the throngs of people in the water while all manner of self professed boating experts try to tell you to slow down and give other advice all the while their children are swimming close to 30'-50 foot boats. It is only a matter of time before one of these experts runs over someone(no doubt after several adult beverages). After boating on this lake for 41 years the idiocy this year is the worst and no one will have anyone to blame but themselves. It is sad that it is business as usual in that part of the lake and we can only hope that it is not one of our loved ones that is taken from us by the irresponsible actions of this group of clueless people.

Most of the experts I have seen on the Lake are (EX, A HAS BEEN, PERT , A DRIP UNDER PRESSURE). You are 100 % correct.

There is only one simple answer. Do not be the audience. Following the death of the young man last month, we no longer watch the jumpers. It is our humble gift to his family.

I Tried to give some jumpers a ride to their boat so they would not get run over and i get a ticket for passengers without lifejackets.I am on a jetski and can manuver alot better than a big boat.Next time i will just pray that they make it to their boat safe and not get run over.
