I am finally getting ready to start doing some modest remodel work at my place. Nothing fancy just some upgrading, painting, etc. I need any help I can get on contractors. Especially carpentry, electrical, A/C, and painting.

I also need a landscape guy to do some simple retaining walls, grading and planting.

Any help you all could provide would be appreciated.

Do Not use Pierce & Weldon Electrical unless you want to pay them for work that they may or may not get around to. Kimroc out of Montgomery did a great job landscaping. The guy's name is Rocky and he has a place up here. The work he did was exactly what I wanted, actually better. He did the work as scheduled and on budget.

Hello and thanks for the info on Kimroc.......also looking to do major LS work.......... I've talked with 3 others already and will call Rocky. Did you get several to bid out your work or did you go with Kimroc without bids............how did bids compare?? Did your job include finish grading, irrigation, plants, mulch, turf and labor?

I did take bids, he came in at about what the others did, maybe just a little under. What I really liked was that he has a great eye for plants & I wanted a lot of old timey flowers like my grandmother had and he knew just what I wanted. His design was all I wanted and more. He really listened to what I wanted and added to my idea. They did everything, sod, plantings, mulch.

Of all my contractors, he along with Blalock Plumbing were by far the best. If any of you need a great plumber, Warren Blalock out of Tallassee or maybe it is Eclectic is wonderful.

My budget was already tapped out and I did not get the irrigation included. I should have bitten the bullet and had it done as well. When I got my first water bill from Walnut Hill from the heavy watering I did, I almost fainted. What I paid on that one bill would have gone a long way in paying for the irrigation. Good luck!

Is it a hook or slice problem!!! Sounds like he needs to get a shorter club.
