I would like to take my four large dogs out to play. I need to find a sandy area near the water (a creek is fine) that doesn't have any people around. They are so big that we can't take them to anywhere because they scare everyone. Anyone know of a place like that near Alexander City or Lake Martin? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

With the way the water is this summer...you have 800 miles of shore line to let them run til their heart is content. If you want to load them on a boat and take them somewhere on the lake...there are islands everywhere to beach on and let'em go! No shortage of land to roam on this summer.

Skip the islands that have had campers. From experience I can tell you that there are slimeballs that don't bury their ca-ca and your dogs will love to roll in it. If you have four you would probably slowly pull off the island and leave.....
