No use living in the past. All Bama fans have been through it in the past decade + . Since 1892 with a gap from 1908 to 1948 I have Alabama with 39 wins and Auburn with 30 wins.

39-30? Is this the "bama math" that I've always heard so much about? :-)

Actual record is 38-32-1 with 63 of the 71 games played away from Auburn. Anybody want to bet that if 27 more had been played at AU over the years that the record would be in AU's favor. Hard to imagine AU not being able ot pull out just 3 more victories to even the series under that scenario.

Come on now. EVERYBODY knows that 'Legion Field" in b'ham was 'neutral territory'. That's why Bama liked to play about half of their home games there, so the other teams had a fair chance too. <sarcasm off>

As I understand it, prior to Bear's arrival, Auburn led the series 12-9-1; since Bear, they lead it 14-10. So it would appear that most of bama's "domination" took place in a 25-year span.

And yes, no telling where those numbers would be if they hadn't played all of the games on alabama's home field for so long. I guess now we know why Bear was so terrified about moving the game from Birmingham.
