Please be in prayer for the family and friends of AU freshman Lauren Burk. She was the one murdered Tuesday night at Auburn. She was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority with my sister and they are having a hard time dealing with this, I can't begin to imagine how her mother and father are feeling.

We certainly will. Our niece, a sophmore at Virginia Tech, was killed last week in a car/pedestrian accident. There is nothing harder for a family to bear than the loss of a child.

The pain is unbearable, I lost my wife after 47 years of marriage Feb. 03 of this year. The loss of a child, God I hope I never have to go through that. May god bless the family.

The Burk family needs our prayers. I heard of Ms. Burk's death earlier this evening and find myself in shock. It gives credence too hold ones near and far, telling them you love them simply because they are. Lord knows the big picture and one day find you're not. Love, live, and pray now. These things bring us close from afar. peace be with you and now Ms. Burk rests in the house of lord and her killer to be tried. God speed and good night.

Why? Why take her life? Nice statement from her father in Atlanta in Friday morning edition of OA News. What a tradegy. Her body was found less than a mile from my home.

Have two daughters, can't imagine losing one.

May God rest her soul.
