Don't forget! Art on the Lake is taking place on the Children's Harbor campus, Sunday, May 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. FREE ADMISSION!

Art on the Lake is one of the southeast's premier art events and takes place along the shore of Lake Martin. Artists will be displaying and selling paintings, pottery, mixed media and jewelry.

Children's Harbor campus is located on Highway 63 in Eclectic, just 16 miles south of Alexander City.

I had the opportunity of participating in the Art N Soul workshop today at the Harbor House with Nan Cunningham, and it was a fantastic experience! I'm sure that the festival will be just as professional and fun!

I was wondering when and how the picture was taken on the May 2008 cover. The large Chris Craft deck boat is ours so we were just curious.

The cover photo was actually taken July 29, 2006.

Kenneth Boone, our photographer, was flying over Lake Martin in a helicopter shooting photos. He happened to catch someone 'mid jump' off of Chimney Rock.

We counted 57 people on the cover ...which might be some kind of record! :)

Thanks for the info. Its a great picture. What is funny is on a typical weekend we dont feel like our boat is even close to the largest at the Rock and in this picture it stands out.
