I am looking for some land within 10 miles of the lake to use as a airstrip for my Ultralight. It needs to be no smaller that 60 feet wide by 400 feet long. I would like to be able to build a simple hangar there to house the plane.

There is no hangar space at Alex City Airport and I am checking all avenues to keep my plane nearby.

Please contact me if you are interested in leasing land out for a year or two.

Not sure who owns what was the Camp Hill airport in Dadeville. Its located between Hwy 50 and Hwy 34 on the West side of 280. The hangar is visable from 280, the runway is still there just needs to be cleaned up. Last I checked the hangar looked good, the airport has been closed for many years..could make for a good project.

Thanks for the info... This is what I need, ideas to get my plane hangared again after May 1. I at the river bridge and Camphill would not be a bad drive to get plane out and fly back to the lake and play a little. I will contact Camphill next week and see what they say. I will let you know what happens.

Meanwhile, just incase, I am looking for a strip of land to lease 5 or 10 years to use for landing strip and hangar site.
